Chemours has a Field Technical Specialist position available. This role can be located anywhere in the United States
This position will be the technical face of Chemours with strategic customer accounts. Internally they will integrate the functional capabilities of Chemours toward executing specific projects that enhance our ability to provide for safe transportation, use, storage and handling of Sodium Cyanide
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Assist technical assistance to Mining Companies and Engineering Companies with the design and installation of new Cyanide handling infrastructure investments.
Implement Chemours terminal expansion projects.
Implement Chemours projects that improve our ability to deliver a seamless safe customer experience; including, but not limited to packaging development, additives implementation, product tracking technologies, remote inventory management.
Serve as primary technical lead to support Product Stewards across the America’s.
Serve as conduit between Chemours and strategic customer accounts to develop new technical offerings to the precious metals mining industry.
Partner with Mining Solutions Distribution Lead and Corporate logistics to manage all aspects of fleet management requiring technical oversight; including, but not limited to, inspections and design upgrades.
In order to be qualified for this role, you /must possess/ the following:
Minimum 5- 10 years of work experience producing, handling, transporting highly toxic chemicals
Demonstrated skills to complete work independently and through influence.
Strong Mechanical aptitude.
Experienced in training others.
Knowledgeable in safe product, use, storage, and handling of hazardous materials
Demonstrated knowledge of computer applications
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently, including ability to manage numerous follow-up actions and deadlines.
Ability to interact effectively with and manage the interface with the Mining Solutions business, customers, engineering firms, industry safety networks, carriers and drivers
Knowledge, Training, Certification to provide Emergency Response assistance to customers and carriers
Willingness to travel (50%) frequently to remote locations across the Americas (from northern Canada to Argentina
